In this Weekly Vlog, I’m diving deep into weight loss maintenance—why it’s the foundation of lasting success, and how you can create a sustainable program that truly works for you. If you’ve ever lost weight only to gain it back, or felt unsure how to make Bright Line Eating fit your life, this vlog is for you.

Why Maintenance is the Key to Long-Term Weight Loss

I want to be real with you: short-term weight loss never feels good when it ends in regain. I’ve been there, and I know how discouraging it can be. That’s why I focus on sustainable weight loss maintenance from the very beginning. My new book, MAINTAIN, releasing April 21, 2026, is all about helping you figure out what a program that truly lasts looks like for your unique life.

Defining and Designing My Own Bright Line Eating Program

No two people are the same, and that includes our brains, bodies, and lifestyles. That’s why it’s so important to define and design your own Bright Line Eating program. This means understanding a few key things about yourself:

Your Food Addiction Susceptibility: I recommend taking the quiz at foodaddictionquiz.com to see where you fall. If you’re high on the scale, you’ll need a stricter approach to avoid getting derailed by hyperpalatable foods.

Your Level of Willingness: Not ready to give up everything at once? That’s okay. A harm reduction approach can help you implement the program to the extent you’re willing—without shame or guilt.

The truth is, even a partial commitment to Bright Line Eating can be better than doing nothing at all. You do what you can, when you can, and I’ll show you how to make it work.

How I Tailor My Program to My Life

I want to share some examples of how I design my Bright Line Eating program to fit my daily life:

Food Prep and Planning: I’ve experimented with everything—from batch cooking on weekends to preparing meals night by night. Finding the rhythm that works for me makes all the difference.

Eating Out: I’ve learned to eyeball portions more accurately by breaking things down—like splitting 12 ounces of vegetables into 6 ounces raw and 6 ounces cooked—so I don’t leave a restaurant feeling overly full.

Mindset Tweaks: I’ve turned twinges of shame into moments of integrity and alignment. For example, choosing the closest apple in my fridge instead of the biggest one gives me a sense of control and peace.

Regular Program Inventory: I check in with myself regularly—am I eating the foods that light me up? Are my food prep habits serving me? Is my weight where I want it to be? Am I getting the right nutrition? These small adjustments help me stay on track and enjoy long-term success.

Even if you’re fully following a Bright Line Eating plan, there’s always room to define and fine-tune your own program for your unique needs.

My Takeaway: Your Weight-Loss Journey is Personal

Weight loss is deeply personal, and I know there’s no one-size-fits-all solution. While I provide guidance and strategies, ultimately, you are responsible for figuring out what works for you, committing to it, and living it. By defining and designing your unique Bright Line Eating program, you can finally achieve long-term weight loss success, feel empowered, and live in alignment with your health goals.

I hope this vlog inspires you to look at your own program and ask, what do I need to tweak, define, or design to make long-term weight-loss success possible for me?
